Dr. Lois Lee is founder and president of Children of the Night, the first comprehensive sex trafficking program in North America. Since 1979, she has rescued over 10,000 children from prostitution. As a result of her pioneering efforts, police now treat child prostitutes as victims instead of criminals, and juvenile courts more frequently place them in shelters, foster homes and treatment programs rather than detention centers.
