Captain Kelly Mulldorfer is Commanding Officer of the Vice Division of the Los Angeles Police Department, which she joined in 1981. Early in her career she posed undercover as a prostitute. Appalled by middle-class men with baby seats in their cars, she later joined the Abused Child Unit, where she became a department expert and trainer in the recognition and investigation of physical and sexual child abuse, leading factors in prostitution.

She is a board member of the Mid-Valley YMCA and a POST-certified Institute of Criminal Investigation (ICI) instructor, regularly instructing a variety of law enforcement-related courses.
